Viscon Dua Remote Terminal Unit (V2RTU)

Viscon Dua RTU is a revolutionary product in Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) designed for real time applications. It is designed with the latest high technology for large range of applications such as electrical power transmission and distribution using Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA) system. Its capabilities extend to handle large number of points for data control-and-monitoring covering large areas.

Viscon Dua RTU is our latest state-of-art design in our Viscon family of product series. 'Dua' in malay language means 'two' . Our evolutionary approach in our design innovations moulds this second generation of RTU to supercede the former in terms of performance and credibility. Hence, the term 'Viscon Dua'.

There are 2 main components in Viscon Dua RTU:

1. Viscon Dua RTU HX module ( Data Concentrator Unit / Protocol Translator )

2. Viscon Dua RTU IO module ( Input / Output module )

In addition to Viscon Dua RTU, a compact series is available for smaller IO points monitoring.

Product Overview

In general, Viscon Dua RTU is capable of:

• Operating as stand-alone single-port or multi-ports in multi-drop configurations for extended IO points.

• Monitoring 32 digital input points per card, 16 channels of analog input per card, controlling of 16 digital output points per card.

• Communication with SCADA Master or Control Centre through its RS232 port (native) with programmable data speed. Message housekeeping and functions processing are performed by the Master CPU card in Master IO module.

• System configuration using Viscon Dua Programming and Diagnostic Utility (PDU) via dedicated diagnostic port connected to a personal computer. Customised configuration is easily achieved.

V2RTU-IO module consists of the CPU card and up to three input/output cards either Digital Input(DI) card, Digital Output (DO) card, Analog Input(AI) card and /or Analog Output Card. CPU card and I/O cards are interconnected by backplane system (motherboard). The IO module can have

- Dedicated I/O card configuration i.e. DI only, DO only, AI only, and AO only .

- Or the combination of the four types i.e DI, DO, AI and AO in the module to make a mixed-I/O card configuration.
